In an article dated January 27, 2019, cabinet ministers approved the export of medicinal cannabis, which will allow Israeli marijuana growers to begin international sales by late 2019.
With medical marijuana now recognized as a legitimate crop, 780 farmers have received preliminary approval to advance in planning stages. Final approval has already been granted to 5 growers to cultivate 22 acres of marijuana, IMC being one of the 5.
